All four dedicated trophies lined up alongside each other in Switzerland to celebrate International Women's Day.

MIES (Switzerland) - It's shaping up to be another exciting year for women's basketball globally and for the first time ever, all four trophies for the respective Continental competitions have been lined up alongside each other on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8.

A new family of dedicated trophies has been created for the upcoming FIBA Women's AmeriCup, FIBA Women's AfroBasket and FIBA Women's Asia Cup - following on from the previous introduction of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket trophy at the 2023 edition of the competition.

Elegantly placed alongside each other at The Patrick Baumann House Of Basketball and in celebration of International Women's Day, the trophies provided a clear visual representation of the dynamic and fast-paced evolution of women's basketball, symbolizing the pinnacle of each international event in each region.

Beautifully constructed, all of the trophies incorporate various design elements of an entire region, reflecting the countries, cultures and beliefs within it. These have been interwoven with many FIBA basketball elements, with each trophy bearing the competition name, as well as elements portraying the sport.

Maintaining a consistent theme across all FIBA Continental Cups, the four trophies feature a gold band engraved with FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE BASKETBALL and a black gloss base supporting a silver band inscribed with the trophy name and the roll of honor of previous champions.

These newcomers to the FIBA trophy family also maintain a resemblance to their silverware counterparts in the various Men's Continental Cup competitions, providing synergy within the FIBA regions.

This new family of trophies is also something strongly underpinned by FIBA's Women In Basketball strategic priority, which continues to be a key driver in the eye-catching growth of the women's game around the world, with these new designs aligning all four Continental competitions with the men's counterparts, as well as the World Cups.

The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup trophy was unveiled in 2021, ahead of the flagship women's event held in Australia the following year. This trophy, the first to be redesigned, celebrated both the rich history of the competition and the heroes of that time.

The biggest stars in the women's global game are ready to step out and shine at the various Continental Competitions taking place in 2025, with the tournaments scheduled as follows: FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 June 18 to June 29 in Brno, Czechia; Hamburg, Germany; Bologna, Italy; Piraeus, Greece FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025 June 28 to July 6 in Santiago, Chile FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025 July 13 to July 20 in Shenzhen, China FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2025 July 25 to August 3 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire

A new FIBA Women's EuroBasket Trophy was held aloft for the first time in 2023

FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis commented: "It's exciting to have all four of these impressive trophies together in the House of Basketball. It illustrates how the women's game is being elevated in every FIBA region, with our Women In Basketball strategic priority continuing to be essential to its global evolution and growth.

"Seeing these trophies also reminds us all of just how much dedication and skill players and coaches invest in the pursuit of being crowned champions of their respective Continents. These competitions are set to once again provide fans with some amazing games and memories.

"Of course, they are also an essential step on the Road to Berlin and the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026, which we are also very excited about."
