    About

    FIBA is committed to promoting the growth of 3x3 basketball in Africa.

    Through the FIBA 3x3 High Performance Development Programme, we aim to:

    Strengthen national federations: Build the capacity of local basketball governing bodies.

    Develop youth basketball: Cultivate young talent and give them the opportunity to excel.

    Make 3x3 the most exciting urban sport: Promote 3x3 as a global phenomenon.

    Key program features

    The main aim of the training camp is to prepare the African teams for the Olympic Qualification Tournaments (OQT). Under the qualification system set up by FIBA.

    These teams are preparing intensively for the Olympic qualifiers, in an environment where the level of competition is increasingly high.

    The camp also enables the players to strengthen their technical and tactical skills, with a focus on key aspects such as physical preparation and game tactics, as well as the psychological and theoretical aspects of 3x3 basketball.

    In addition to the preparation of the athletes, there are also sharing sessions with the coaches present, tackling essential subjects for the development of teams and 3x3 basketball in Africa. These discussions help to identify areas for improvement and adapt strategies to the specific characteristics of African teams.
