Record participation in FIBA Agents Test Session in the Americas

    Short Read

A total of 75 candidates took part in the session held in Miami, the highest participation ever recorded.

MIAMI (United States) – The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) held its annual FIBA Agents Test Session for the Americas at the end of June, setting a new record with 75 registered candidates - the highest ever. As in previous years, the event took place at the Novotel Brickell in Miami and began with a half-day presentation covering the key topics that were later assessed during the exam. Of the 75 registered candidates, 65 took the exam, while seven lawyers who are exempt under the regulations attended only the information session as part of the certification process. The session produced highly positive results, with 92 percent of the candidates who took the exam passing, allowing them to apply for a FIBA Agent License, the mandatory requirement to represent basketball players internationally under FIBA's regulatory framework. The certification process included a comprehensive assessment designed to verify that candidates possess a thorough understanding of FIBA regulations, ethical principles and best practices related to player representation. In addition to the exam, the event also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and build professional networks. With this latest edition, FIBA reaffirmed its commitment to developing highly qualified agents capable of providing professional and responsible representation, always in the best interests of players and in line with international basketball standards. The next FIBA Agents Test Session will take place on August 12, 2026, in Mongolia, and registration is currently open.
