The FIBA Open is back on 14-15 June 2025 and teams can now register!

MIES (Switzerland) – The registrations for one of the biggest grassroots 3x3 tournaments in the world are now open.

After a record edition marking the decade of the FIBA Open, the event is returning to the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball from 14 to 15 June 2025. With over 300 participating teams in 2024, the FIBA Open aims to welcome just as many this year. Click here to register!

Promoting inclusion and community spirit, the tournament is open to everyone - allowing players of all ages and capabilities to play.

Everyone will find its place within the large range of categories going from U10 to over 40 years old and passing through Family, Wheelchair, and Special Olympics.

Beyond the competition, the FIBA Open is first and foremost a fundraising event to support Basketball For Good projects partnering with the FIBA Foundation. In 2024, the FIBA Open donated all its benefits to the Basketball Artists School in Namibia – allowing them to open a computer lab for their beneficiaries.

In 2025, all the proceeds of the FIBA Open will be given to Mudando O Placar, a Brazil-based association run by Youth Leader Layana de Souza using basketball to initiate positive social change in the favela of Rocinha, near Rio de Janeiro.

Onsite, visitors and players will have the opportunity to participate in our various activities including the raffle, buy souvenirs at the shop, and get a snack at the food stand.

On the occasion of the event, the FIBA Museum is opening its doors over the weekend for the only time of the year. The visitors will be able to learn more about the basketball history and discover the Cinema & Basketball exhibition.

The FIBA Open has continued to grow over the years and is now hosting a stage of the 3x3 Swiss Tour and the Elite Women Tour. These 2 tournaments organized by Swiss Basketball gather the best 3x3 players in the country and offer intense games in an exciting atmosphere.

Come and join us at the FIBA Headquarters whether it is to compete on the court, learn about basketball history, volunteer, or just enjoy the festivities! More information here.
