MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre's Approval Program is one of the most recognized global standards for product quality and has been approving basketball equipment used in FIBA competitions and across the sport since 1993.
Currently, the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre collaborates with over 160 top-tier suppliers worldwide, covering 17 basketball and 3x3 basketball (outdoor) equipment categories. All FIBA Approved products undergo rigorous testing to meet strict FIBA requirements.
Since joining the FIBA Approval Program in 2017, Hongkang Sports has produced FIBA Approved products in four categories: backstop units, scoreboards, wooden flooring, and seating systems. With this extensive portfolio, Hongkang Sports is capable of offering a comprehensive FIBA Approved equipment solution for basketball arenas and community venues.
Hongkang Sports' backstop units were recently used at the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 in Xi'an, China, and also at the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2024 in Mexico.
Hongkang Chairman Mr. Li Ronghai said: "It has been an absolute honor to be part of the FIBA Approval Program for seven years. We are committed to upholding FIBA's safety and performance standards for basketball equipment. In recent years, we’ve also integrated technology into our comprehensive venue solutions, such as the Smart Basketball Park, aligning with FIBA's push to accelerate innovation in the sport."
