    The FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be loaded with star power, including players who had a major impact on the international game.

    MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA is set to announce the 2026 FIBA Hall of Fame Class on World Basketball Day, which is Sunday.

    True basketball icons will be among the inductees who have all made indelible marks on the FIBA game.

    Players and coaches have been entering the FIBA Hall of Fame since 2007, when the most famous inductee of all, Dr James Naismith, was inducted posthumously.

    According to the selection process, inductees must have had outstanding achievement at the international level from a personal effort or initiative, and contributed to the global development of basketball.

    Pau Gasol was in the 2025 FIBA Hall of Fame Class

    The most recent, the Class of 2025, was spectacular.

    It was an illustration of FIBA's main objective, which is to honor the players that have shown exceptional skill and hit hugely impressive milestones.

    It had the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2006 MVP and three-time EuroBasket champion, Pau Gasol.

    There was multiple Olympic and World Cup winner Dawn Staley of USA and Australia great Andrew Bogut.

    The 2025 Class for the FIBA Hall of Fame

    It included coach Mike Krzyzewski, who led USA to two FIBA Basketball World Cup titles and three Olympic gold medals.

    Attendees walked past the Walk of Fame before entering the magnificent Bahrain National Theater.

    Also in the class were great players Alphonse Bilé, Leonor Borrell, Ticha Penicheiro and Ratko Radovanović.

    There have been 200 inductees since the inception of the FIBA Hall of Fame, and all have had a monumental impact on international basketball.

    Among them were Michael Jordan, Arvydas Sabonis, Dražen Petrović, Lisa Leslie, Krešimir Ćosić, Bill Russell, Uljana Semjonova, Oscar Robertson, Hortencia Marcari, Dino Meneghin, Oscar Furlong, and many more.

    The 2025 Hall of Fame Ceremony took place at the magnificent Bahrain National Theater

    Members of the Class of 2026 will be honored at an enshrinement ceremony on April 21 in Berlin - the same day as the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Draw.

    Both the enshrinement ceremony and the draw will take place in Berlin at Kraftwerk, an old power plant that has been renovated to host events. The location reflects the urban culture of the city.
