Top-level FIBA games, including this week's FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers, will be available on DAZN for Italian fans until 2029.

MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA has strengthened its partnership with DAZN in Italy by reaching an agreement for the broadcaster to show elite men's and women's FIBA Basketball for the next four years. Having started their collaboration in 2023, the new deal covers the entire cycle of qualifiers and major FIBA competitions up until 2029. This will incorporate all of Italy's national team games.

The extension of the partnership with DAZN also further seals a comprehensive coverage of FIBA basketball competitions for fans in Italy, following FIBA's latest agreement with Sky.

Fans don't have long to wait to enjoy the benefits of the coverage, since it will tip-off with the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers this week. Italy will host Iceland in Tortona on November 27 and then travel to Lithuania for a mouth-watering matchup in Klaipeda on Sunday.

There is also plenty to look forward to when it comes to the Italian women's team, who are looking to sustain their momentum from the memorable third-place finish at FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025. That handed them a place at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournaments next March.

The team will head to San Juan, Puerto Rico, looking to cement a place at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 next September in Germany. If they qualify, Italy would take to the floor at the flagship event for the first time since 1994. In addition to games from the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, DAZN will also broadcast the Continental Cup and Qualifiers across the next media rights cycle. This will include the FIBA Women's EuroBasket in both 2027 and 2029, as well as FIBA EuroBasket 2029.

There will also be an exciting chance to follow games from the men's and women's FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, in what promises to be an absorbing race to make it to LA 2028.
