    ZVVZ USK Praha crowned EuroLeague Women champions in Zaragoza

    ZARAGOZA (Spain) - ZVVZ USK Praha were crowned EuroLeague Women champions at the inaugural Final Six in Zaragoza, Spain.

    The Czech side overcame CIMSA CBK Mersin 66-53 in Sunday's title-decider and laid claim to the coveted trophy a decade after earning their first.

    For Natalia Hejkova, who was at the helm for the 2015 triumph as well, it marked a fairytale end to her coaching career, as she celebrated winning the competition for the sixth time.

    En route to their second EuroLeague Women title, the Prague club beat Beretta Famila Schio in the Quarter-Final before eliminating back-to-back champions Fenerbahce Opet in the Semi-Final.

    Instrumental throughout the end-of-season tournament, USK Praha center Brionna Jones was named Final Six MVP, presented by Azulmarino.

    She averaged 19.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.3 steals across the three games, for an efficiency of 24.7.

    Jones also headlined the Final Six All-Star Five, presented by Iberia which also included her teammates Valeriane Ayayi and Ezi Magbegor.

    They were joined by Natasha Howard from CBK Mersin and Gabby Williams from Fenerbahce Opet, who earned their place earlier in the day by defeating Valencia Basket Club 59-49.
