MUNICH (Germany) - The race to be crowned Europe's top youth basketball nation is nearing conclusion as another busy summer of FIBA Youth EuroBasket action continues.
Slovenia have made the strongest start, winning the FIBA U20 EuroBasket and FIBA U18 EuroBasket titles to move clear at the top of the medal standings.
European powerhouses France and Spain have each lifted a trophy this year, celebrating success at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket and FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, respectively.
Latvia made history by winning the FIBA U16 EuroBasket for the first time.
Finland, Israel, Italy and Serbia are the only other nations to have also collected podium finishes.
With the final Division A tournament still to be played, the race for the top spots in the medal table remains wide open.
