MUNICH (Germany) - A three-strong delegation of the Croatian Basketball Federation (CBF) visited the Munich headquarters on the occasion of the FIBA Youth EuroBaskets 2025 Draw on Tuesday, and met with the FIBA Europe leadership.
The Croatian delegation was led by CBF President Nikola Rukavina and also included CBF Secretary General Josip Vrankovic and CBF Vice President Robert Jurkovic.
FIBA Europe President Jorge Garbajosa and FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak provided their guests with an update on recent developments in the European basketball landscape and the visiting delegation offered an update on the state of affairs in Croatian basketball.
The two sides discussed a wide range of relevant topics and also exchanged views on the structure of European club competitions, as well as national team competitions, both senior and youth.
Croatia was one of the four co-hosts of FIBA EuroBasket 2015, with Group C of that enormously tournament taking place in the state-of-the-art Zagreb Arena. It had previously hosted the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2010, the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket 2002 and the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2013.
The FIBA Europe leadership has already held several meetings since the start of 2025, as part of its ongoing commitment to foster ever stronger relations with all National Federations.
