BEIRUT (Lebanon)- The FIBA Regional Office-Asia on Friday, August 28, 2026 confirmed the final list of participants for the FIBA WASL Final 8 scheduled to be held in Lebanon from Sept 25-Oct 1, 2026.
The Draw for groupings will be held in Beirut on Sept 3, 2026.
The FIBA WASL Final 8 will feature eight teams – after the withdrawal of Kazakhstan’s BC Astana.
The following are the pots into which the teams are pooled for the draw. Teams are be seeded into pots based on their final standings in the Group Phase of their respective Sub-Zone League Group Phase.
Pot 1: Al Riyadi Beirut (LBN), Shahrdari Gorgan (IRI), Ittihad Club (KSA), Al Ula (KSA).
Pot 2: Sagesse BC (LBN), Indian Railways (IND), Kuwait SC (KUW), Al Arabi (QAT)
Teams will be drawn into two groups for the Group Phase, where games will be played on a round-robin basis after which the top two teams will qualify for Semi-Finals.
