MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA has a new and exciting digital offering in place after launching a fresh website ecosystem which will ensure that already stunning levels of fan engagement continue to rise.
Capitalizing on the impressive growth and popularity of the sport, FIBA has just launched FIBA Basketball, fiba.basketball, the ultimate go-to platform for basketball enthusiasts, providing a one-stop experience for all FIBA competition-related content and beyond.
The website offers the perfect blend of FIBA's competition content, including news, videos, photos and brand new editorial features. Fans will never miss a game with a detailed competition calendar that keeps them informed of all upcoming competitions.
With a tailored feed, the platform enables users to see all live games on one screen, the FIBA World Rankings with historical results, detailed profiles of every player who has ever participated in a FIBA competition, extensive and compelling national team profiles, and historical data for every FIBA tournament down the years.
Similarly, all the FIBA Competitions websites have been re-designed with a focus on fan engagement and experience at the heart of this. Each dedicated event site has all the game schedules, results, live and accumulated stats, group standings, team and player profiles, editorial coverage and video coverage. You can see two examples here: FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 and EuroLeague Women.
FIBA has also completely revamped its corporate website, about.fiba.basketball, dedicated to audiences more interested in the institution.
The revamped website features detailed information on governance, structure, and recognized organizations – as well as insights into FIBA's strategic goals, global initiatives, and partnerships.
Users can access all the latest corporate news, learn about each of FIBA's various programs and services, including FIBA's Media Centre, and find key documents such as the Official Basketball Rules. There are also dedicated websites for each FIBA Regional Office, as well as for each of FIBA's various programs and services, including the Equipment & Venue Centre.
Nicolas Chapart, FIBA Head of Digital said: "Fans around the world are consuming content in different ways and are rightly expecting more tailored and quality experiences as users. This is an expectation that we are determined to not only meet, but to exceed. The new website ecosystem is just the latest example of how FIBA is continuing to put technology and digital services at the heart of what we do.
"After two years of work, we now have a solid foundation set in play and this launch is just the beginning. We are convinced that our new website ecosystem will boost engagement with our sport, offering fans an improved and personalized user experience, and deliver more focused information for our corporate audience. We will continuously enhance the platforms to ensure they meet and adapt to the ever-evolving demands of our audiences."
