BEIRUT (Lebanon)- Two WABC Level 1 clinics were conducted in the CABA region of FIBA Asia Sub-Zones during the past fortnight in another step in FIBA Regional Office-Asia’s efforts towards Empowering National Federations.
Nineteen participants, including five women participated in the clinc at Jizzakh (Uzbekistan) held under the aegis of Basketball Federation of Uzbekistan from Aug 16-21. At the clinic from Aug 23-28 at Dushanbe (Tajikistan) under the supervision of Basketball Federation of Tajikistan, 14 aspirants, including three women took part.
Both clinics were conducted by WABC instructor Milan Kotarac.
“The WABC Clinic was a very valuable and important experience. I gained new knowledge, learned about modern training methodologies, and was able to look at certain aspects of working with players from a new perspective,” said Enver Osmanov, a participant in Uzbekistan.
“The WABC Clinic included a detailed analysis of individual player development, the organization of team interactions in both defense and offense, as well as modern time management on the court. The presentation was dynamic, well-structured, and closely connected to real game situations,” said Timur Aripov.
“For me, taking part in the Coaching Clinic Level 1 seminar was a truly valuable experience. What I especially appreciated was that it was not only about theory — many of the ideas and concepts can be immediately reflected on and applied in practical work with players,” said Pulatov Timur in Tajikistan.
“The WABC clinic was very useful and informative. We gained new knowledge about training methods, techniques, tactics, and organization. The practical sessions were especially valuable, as we were able to explore various game situations, drills, and modern methods for training basketball players,” said Evgeny Tsarev.
