    The FIBA Foundation’s annual call for projects opened on 1 January. Selected projects will receive support to implement their Basketball For Good projects.

    MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Foundation is pleased to announce that its annual Propose a Project application period is now open and will run until 1st of March 2026.

    This initiative invites National Basketball Federations and community organizations worldwide to submit their applications on the Propose a Project platform, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to using basketball as a tool to empower, educate, and inspire youth worldwide through its Basketball For Good programs.

    Propose a Project 2026

    Following a record-breaking year with 332 applications and 73 projects supported in 2025, the FIBA Foundation continues to expand the Basketball For Good movement by encouraging innovative efforts to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through basketball.

    Supported projects will receive financial, equipment, and/or mentoring support and join the wider Basketball For Good community, which offers additional opportunities for exchange, mentoring, and support.

    How to apply?

    Applicants must select one of the five project categories when applying for support from the FIBA Foundation. Below, you’ll find an example story for each category.
