More than 10 fresh faces introduced to FIBA LiveStats

BEIRUT (Lebanon) – Six women were among the participants in the FIBA Statisticians workshop conducted by the FIBA Regional Office-Asia in Dubai (UAE) recently. The two-day workshop (Apr 28-29) held under the auspices of United Arab Emirates Basketball Association had a total of 20 participants attending.

With more than half the attendees being fresh faces, sessions were held to introduce the participants to the FIBA Statisticians’ Manual 2024 and the new version 8 of FIBA LiveStats.

“The interaction among the participants themselves created a good learning environment. The hands-on activity was excellent and well needed to practice on FLS,” said Waddah El Chaarani.

“The most valuable aspect of this workshop was the hands-on activities. Additionally, the opportunity to engage in group discussions allowed for diverse perspectives and deeper insights. The FLS real basketball games situation explanations were really helpful,” said Myricar R. Lajara.
