    World Cup hosts Germany enter the competition among the top seeds for the Second Round

    The seedings have also been confirmed for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers.

    MUNICH (Germany) - The seeds for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 Qualifiers Second Round draw have now been announced, following the latest update in the FIBA Women's World Ranking, presented by Nike.

    The ceremony will take place at the House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland on Tuesday, March 31 at 14:00 CET.

    17 teams advanced from the First Round, and are joined by seven teams from the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments.

    Field complete for Second Round of FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 Qualifiers

    The seedings for the draw are as follows:

    Seed 1: France, Spain, Germany, Serbia, Italy, Türkiye Seed 2: Czechia, Hungary, Great Britain, Slovenia, Montenegro, Greece Seed 3: Slovakia, Latvia, Croatia, Portugal, Ukraine, Poland Seed 4: Israel, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Bulgaria, Austria

    Teams will learn their opponents for the Second Round when the field is split into six groups of four teams each, with two windows taking place in November 2026 and February 2027.

    FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2027 co-hosts Belgium, Finland, Lithuania and Sweden will resume their Group H action in parallel with the Second Round for the remaining windows.

    Meanwhile, the draw for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers First Round will also take place on Tuesday.

    The 10 participating teams, that did not progress to the Second Round of the 2027 Qualifiers, will now be split into two groups of three teams, and one group of four.

    The seedings are as follows:

    Seed 1: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Romania Seed 2: Iceland, Norway, Estonia Seed 3: North Macedonia, Cyprus, Ireland Seed 4: Azerbaijan

    Both draws will be livestreamed on the FIBA Media YouTube channel.
