MERSIN (Türkiye) - CIMSA CBK Mersin secured the 2025-26 EuroCup Women title after completing a two-legged victory over Athinaikos Qualco, on Thursday.
The Turkish side held on for an overall 159-157 triumph, despite a 77-75 loss in a thrilling second leg - their first defeat in the competition this season.
Mersin were previously runners-up in EuroLeague Women on two occasions, but finally got their hands on European silverware - with a near perfect 9-1 campaign since entering at the Play-Offs stage.
Kennedy Burke earned Finals MVP honors after averaging 21.0 points and 8.0 rebounds across the two-legged tie, including a 25-point haul in the first leg victory.
Athinaikos had been aiming to win the competition for a second time, following their triumph in the 2009-10 edition, but their run to the Finals still marked an impressive return to European competition.
There have now been three title-winning clubs from Türkiye in EuroCup Women history, as Mersin add their name alongside former champions Galatasaray and Yakin Dogu Universitesi.
