MUNICH (Germany) - The Group Phase of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 got off to a flying start in Riga and Tampere on Wednesday, and now the rosters have also been confirmed for teams in Groups C and D, as action in those two groups is set to commence on Thursday.
The tournament will see the 12 remaining participating teams get their campaigns underway in Limassol, Cyprus and Katowice, Poland.
Cyprus will be hosting Europe's flagship event for the first time in history, while Poland will play host for the first time since 2009.
Both venues are ready to welcome some of the biggest names across the continent who will embark on their campaigns to be crowned EuroBasket champions on September 14.
The finalized rosters in Limassol and Katowice are as follows:
Group C: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Italy, Georgia, Greece, Spain Group D: Belgium, France, Iceland, Israel, Poland, Slovenia
Group C action will tip off at 15:00 local time on Thursday with defending EuroBasket champions Spain taking on Georgia, closely followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina facing group hosts Cyprus at 18:15 local time and finally Greece going up against Italy at 21:30 local time.
In the Group D opener Israel will face Iceland at 14:00 local time, followed by 2024 Olympics silver medalists France taking on Belgium at 17:00, while the first day in Katowice concludes with Slovenia going up against group hosts Poland at 20:30 local time.
On Friday it will be the turn of teams in Groups C and D to play their second games of the tournament while Saturday will see all 24 competing teams in action across all four groups.
