Her World, Her Rules program sees growing activity to start 2020
MUNICH (Germany) - The new year has seen the same drive from the National federations across Europe with more activity taking place to promote girl’s basketball at the start of 2020.
MUNICH (Germany) - The new year has seen the same drive from the National Federations across Europe with more activity taking place to promote girl's basketball at the start of 2020 as part of the Her World, Her Rules program.
Belgium used the buildup to the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Ostend as a platform to encourage youngsters onto the court with senior players Ann Wauters, Hanne Mestdagh and Serena-Lynn Geldof in attendance.
A 3x3 tournament was organized in Belarus as part of the Her World, Her Rules campaign
In Belarus, a U13 camp was organized with current senior women's head coach Nataliya Trafimava in attendance, with a 3x3 tournament taking place, giving the stars of the future the chance to shine. Similar camps took place in Jicin, Czech Republic and Tallinn, Estonia.
Swedish player Paula Juhlin hosted a girl's camp as project manager with a large turnout enjoying the session, while while the federation of Andorra launched their media promotion campaign with several videos pushing the program following their camps.
Teams from EuroLeague Women have also been involved with the program as they look to inspire potential future stars of the game.
LDLC ASVEL Feminin linked up with the next generation with a number of their players taking to the court alongside more than 50 girls. A behind-the-scenes look at their recent matchup with Fenerbahce was an extra incentive for a couple of winners at the camp.

Sopron Basket also showed their support to the initiative with Candice Dupree and Aleksandra Crvendakic among those involved, while Alba Torrens and Tatiana Petrushina shared their knowledge at a clinic through UMMC Ekaterinburg.

The Her World, Her Rules campaign aims to see more girls take up the sport from the ages of 6-15 with leading players from around the world fully behind the project.
