FREISING (Germany) - The draw results for the FIBA Youth EuroBaskets and European Championship for Small Countries 2026 have now been confirmed.
FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak welcomed the guests and national federation representatives to the draw ceremony on Thursday morning.
Spain’s Leonor Rodriguez - a FIBA Women’s EuroBasket winner in 2023 - and former Belgian international Sam Van Rossom helped out with the draw proceedings as the special guests.
A total of 246 national teams - 130 men's and 116 women's will compete in the youth tournaments, with a further 10 senior national teams participating in the Small Countries.
The summer of FIBA Youth EuroBaskets action will get underway with the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket tournaments from July 4-12.
The results for 15 of the 16 youth tournaments can be found, here.
The draw for the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division B tournament did not take place with the hosts and format still to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, the men's and women's events at the FIBA European Championship for Small Countries will both be held from June 23-28 and hosted by Gibraltar and Kosovo, respectively.
