MUNICH (Germany) - FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 is almost ready to get underway, with the rosters now confirmed for teams in Groups A and B ahead of the tip-off of the 40th edition of the flagship event.
The tournament commences on Wednesday, June 18, with the first games taking place in Piraeus, Greece and Bologna, Italy as eight of the 16 participating nations begin their campaigns.
Preparations are nearly complete, and the fans wait in anticipation as the best talent across the continent comes together in the battle to be crowned European champions on June 29.
The finalized rosters in Piraeus and Bologna are as follows:
Group A: France, Greece, Switzerland, Türkiye Group B: Italy, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia
France - who are on a run of reaching the podium in their last six Women's EuroBasket appearances - and Türkiye will go head-to-head in the tournament opener in Group A, before hosts Greece go up against Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Slovenia and 1997 winners, Lithuania meet to open the action in Group B, before the hosts Italy take on 2015 and 2021 champions Serbia.
Thursday will see the turn of the teams in Groups C and D to take to the courts in Brno, Czechia and Hamburg, Germany - including the defending champions, Belgium.
