FIBA, today announced a four-year broadcast partnership with Deutsche Telekom, offering fans in Germany new opportunities to tune into 3x3 basketball.

The partnership will grant Deutsche Telekom, through its MagentaTV and MagentaSport platforms, exclusive digital and linear rights in Germany to all major FIBA 3x3 events. This collaboration will build on the incredible success of Germany’s women’s 3x3 team winning gold at Paris 2024 and generate increased awareness and visibility for 3x3 basketball in the lead up to LA28.

"Partnering with Deutsche Telekom is a very exciting opportunity to bring world-class 3x3 basketball action to our passionate and rapidly growing fanbase in Germany," said Alex Sanchez, 3x3 Managing Director. "This collaboration will significantly increase our visibility and generate greater engagement with existing and new fans in the region."

Dorothea Jacob, VP Proposition & Content MagentaTV: "By expanding our rights portfolio to include the most important 3x3 competitions, we are further expanding our unique basketball platform. We are combining our strong live content from FIBA competitions, EuroLeague and with the urban dynamics and event character of the 3x3, with which we want to reach a new target audience. For fans, this means: all the top games, all the stars, all the formats – Home of Basketball on MagentaTV and MagentaSport."

"3x3 basketball is dynamic, thrilling and close to the young target group – making it a perfect complement to our existing commitment to basketball," says Dr. Henning Stiegenroth, Senior Vice President of Sports and Sponsoring, Deutsche Telekom AG. "With the 'Baskets Bonn Telekom' team, we want to build a long-term project based on performance and vision, which excites the Basketball fans. The players are part of a professional team as well as part of the DBB national team and will embark on a medal-winning mission to Los Angeles 2028. We have the goal: to increase the visibility of 3x3 in Germany and internationally – on the court, on TV, and on digital platforms."

The partnership begins on June 13, with the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2025 and FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series in Vienna the first events to be aired. Fans will then be able to tune into coverage of the year's flagship event, the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from June 23-29.

The agreement will cover the following FIBA 3x3 events:
