BEIRUT (Lebanon) – The FIBA Regional Office - Asia recently organized a photography workshop in Astana, Kazakhstan in coordination with the Kazakhstan Basketball Federation. Thirteen aspiring photographers, including five women, from all over Kazakhstan participated in the two-day workshop.

The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of basketball photographers through expert guidance, hands-on training, and interactive discussions.

“The workshop was very useful and informative. The detailed breakdown of FIBA’s specific requirements for photographs provided a clearer understanding of the standards that images must meet at international competitions,” said Yevgeniy Kim, one of the participants.

“The insights into image processing preferences, shooting positions, and lens selection were particularly valuable.”

“It’s always nice to gain new knowledge. It would have been lot more useful with a longer workshop,” said Yelena Temirgaliyeva.

“It would also have been to gain some practical experience by shooting a game and get some reviews. But I certainly learnt a lot of new things here,” she added.
