CORINTH (Greece) – The FIBA Masters Open perfectly reflects basketball's power to connect generations and cultures, transcend borders, and create impact far beyond the court.
In July 2026, that belief will take center stage in Corinth, Greece, as the FIBA Masters Open 2026 joins forces with the FIBA Foundation in a collaboration rooted in shared values and a commitment to giving back.
From 4 to 12 July 2026, the FIBA Masters Open will make history as the inaugural FIBA international tournament dedicated to players aged 40 and over. Bringing together teams from around the world, the event celebrates lifelong passion for the game, proving that basketball does not have an age limit, only a lasting spirit.
More than a competition, the FIBA Masters Open is built around community, respect, and the joy of playing together. These same principles lie at the heart of the FIBA Foundation’s Basketball For Good mission, which uses the game as a tool to empower communities, promote inclusion, and drive positive social change worldwide.
As an extension of these shared values, the collaboration introduces a meaningful giving-back dimension: for every team registered at the FIBA Masters Open 2026, €100 will be donated to the FIBA Foundation.
In addition, the financial benefits of the event will also be fully donated to the Foundation, reinforcing the idea that the tournament is driven by purpose rather than profit.
Throughout the event, participants will have the chance to take part in Basketball For Good activations, developed in collaboration with the FIBA Foundation. These initiatives will offer players the opportunity to engage directly with the social impact side of the game, further strengthening the connection between competition and contribution.
This means that every game played, every team registered, and every moment shared in Corinth contributes to something larger. Participants are not only competing for pride and victory, but also supporting programs that create opportunities for youth, promote gender equality, and use basketball as a force for positive change around the world.
In Corinth next summer, the FIBA Masters Open will showcase that basketball’s greatest legacy is not only measured in scores and trophies, but in the lives it impacts, on and off the court.
