FIBA, Molten and other partners teamed up to create FIBA China Girls‘ Summer Camp, enabling more than 100 girls to draw inspiration from legends of the game.

SHENZHEN (China) - The 2025 edition of the Her World Her Rules camp in China aligned with the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in Shenzhen, China, and not only managed to surpass the high expectations it had created, but set a new standard for summer sports camps everywhere.

Her World Her Rules is FIBA's largest and most recognized grassroots program globally but this edition raised the bar even higher, as 116 girls aged 8 to 16 years old from 10 different countries and regions around the world gathered in Shenzhen from July 12-18 to attend the FIBA China Girls' Summer Camp.

The young players followed a carefully laid-out program that focused not only on improving their basketball skills under the guidance of a hand-picked team of coaches and trainers that implemented the FIBA China Youth Training System, but also creating a vibrant and memorable experience.

The camp opened at the Shenzhen Hongshan Middle School, with FIBA China Managing Director Kelvin Fang and other dignitaries welcoming the participants to a week of professional-level training, intense competition on the court and valuable cultural exchanges off the court.

FIBA Global Partner Molten prepared a special treat for the girls, inviting over to the camp Chinese national team legends Shao Ting and Sun Mengran.

During the Molten Basketball Legend Camp Visit, the girls had the unique chance to attend training sessions with the two famous guests, interact with them in Q&A sessions and even receive signed basketballs as gifts.

The girls were of course afforded the opportunity to watch live the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup games, cheer for their respective national teams and experience first-hand the passionate atmosphere of professional basketball.

On their breaks from basketball activities, the participants were immersed in enriching cultural experiences, as they explored the historic ancient city of Nantou, learned about the cultural heritage of Shenzhen, and savored authentic Cantonese cuisine and the local food culture of Guangdong.

The camp culminated in U13 and U16 group finals and a shooting competition showdown, as FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, FIBA Chief Operating Officer & FIBA China Legal Representative Patrick Mariller, FIBA Hall of Fame inductee & FIBA Women’s Asia Cup Ambassador Miao Li Jie and Masatoshi Sugiura, Executive General Manager Global Marketing at Molten, were among the personalities that attended the awards ceremony.

The FIBA China Girls' Summer Camp counted with the support of the Shenzhen Youth Basketball Association, the FIBA BG Academy, Enlio, Molten, Ganten, DaggerShot, Jinta, Openfun, K-Pro International, and Xinghancanlan.

Following the amazing success of the first edition, FIBA plans to expand the camp to more cities, inspiring more girls to chase their basketball dreams.
