FIBA Global Partner Workshop 2024 a success in Shenzhen

    The FIBA Global Partner Workshop 2024 took place in Shenzhen from November 13 to 14.

    Delegates from around the world attended the event in China.

    SHENZHEN (China) - The FIBA Global Partner Workshop 2024 has given attendees an exciting opportunity to not only learn about FIBA's strategy for the coming years but also to make the most of exceptional collaboration opportunities.

    Taking place at the Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai, the gathering of FIBA’s global partners and suppliers took place in China's third-largest city from November 13 to 14. The two-day workshop was built primarily around presenting FIBA's Strategy for the upcoming cycle.

    Global Partners in attendance both received and shared updates, enjoying the opportunity to discuss progress so far, as well the work that still lies ahead.

    Head of FIBA Marketing Andreas Biffiger spoke in depth on FIBA's marketing strategy.

    In addition to the insightful sessions delivered by the FIBA Marketing Team, there were also a number of presentations from FIBA Global Partners themselves.

    These came from the likes of TCL, Molten and Nike, who were all able to celebrate and share experiences from their previously successful campaigns.

    It came alongside details about their plans for new and exciting activations next year, while they were also able to explore potential opportunities for even more productive collaboration between partners.

    This was certainly one of the main appeals of the workshop - providing the perfect platform for Global Partners and Suppliers to further deepen their existing working relationships for upcoming FIBA events.

    This stimulated plenty of anticipation and discussion, with all eyes looking ahead to the flagship FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 in Germany and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 in Qatar.

    A number of other key FIBA events were also covered, such as the various Men's and Women's Continental Cups set to take place next year, with a Qualifiers window taking place this month.

    There was a particularly strong focus on the upcoming FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 since this prestigious event will be hosted in Shenzhen. Excitement is building, with China already reigning as champions and will be aiming to deliver another impressive performance for their fans.

    So, it was a fitting conclusion to the FIBA Global Partner Workshop 2024 that everyone present was able to enjoy a site visit to the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 venue.
