FIBA Europe opens registration for TIME-OUT 4.0 ahead of June launch

    Short Read

National Federations from all over Europe can now submit their player nominations to the program, set to tip off in June 2026.

MUNICH (Germany) – FIBA Europe has informed its member federations that registration is now open for the fourth edition of TIME-OUT, its highly acclaimed career development program.

TIME-OUT represents an investment by FIBA into the future plans of former or soon-to-retire elite basketball players. The program enables them to earn academic qualifications and gain professional development opportunities, as they plot their transition to new careers off the court.

All 50 National Federation members of FIBA Europe are eligible to nominate suitable candidates, both men and women, and 40 of those candidates will be selected in April, through a rigorous assessment and interview process.

Building on the success of the first three editions, the fourth edition will once again deliver a two-tier curriculum that includes a postgraduate certificate in Business Management from the Business School of Northumbria University in the UK, and a Manager in Business of Sport qualification from FIBA.
