FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre Summit 2024 set to take networking, innovation and product quality to the next level

MIES (Switzerland) - The 2024 edition of the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre Summit will be held from September 24 to 26 at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland.  

The bi-annual event is set to provide an enriched networking experience for the Equipment & Venue Centre's more than 155 premium partners from the basketball industry, including Approved Basketball Equipment, 3x3 & Outdoor Basketball Equipment, as well as Basketball Software technology.  

The 2024 Summit will be held at FIBA's global headquarters in Switzerland

The Equipment & Venue Centre partners will be able to take a close look at the heart of global basketball administration and experience a region known for not only its picturesque scenes but also extraordinary access to a network of global sports, innovation, and excellence.  

A highlight of the Summit program will be the opportunity for all participating Equipment & Venue Centre partners to gain valuable insights from the unique Swiss Sports Tech and Innovation Network, in partnership with the world-renowned research university, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL). Additionally, industry partners will have the chance to provide first-hand industry perspectives to the network throughout the three-day program.   

At the previous summit two years ago in Antwerp, a total of 120 of FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre partners, accredited test institutes, and venue design industry leaders were present and were able to discover synergies across the various areas, and explored a range of specialties, ideas, knowledge and opportunities made available through FIBA's global events calendar.

The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre plays a central role in setting global quality standards for equipment and technology used in basketball games, such as basketballs, backstop units, and flooring, as well as data, tracking and automated video technologies.
