COLOGNE (2013 FSB) - For the ninth consecutive time, the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre will be among exhibitors at the FSB - the International Trade Fair for Amenity Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities - held in Cologne, Germany from Tuesday 22 to Friday 25 October 2013.
True to tradition, the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre will feature a village of about 1,000 square metres, gathering more than 17 FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre partners from the sports/basketball equipment manufacturing industry.
Among them will be: Aacer Flooring, Bodet S.A., Bona AB, Conti, Gared, Haro Sports, Jinling Sports, Lino Sonego, Merry Sports Flooring, Molten (FIBA sponsor and partner), Prestige Sports Systems, Seicom Srl, Sport System SAS, Stramatel SAS, Sure Shot by Sport Grupa Ltd, Spalding.
These represent FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre product categories such as backstop units, scoreboards, floorings, maintenance products, basketballs, and seating systems. A large part of this equipment will also be displayed in the centre of the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre village, which will feature a basketball court.
During the fair, a number of demonstration games will be held in cooperation with the German Basketball Federation (DBB), including mini-basketball and wheelchair basketball games. Stephen Arigbabu, who won a bronze medal at the 2002 FIBA World Championship and a silver medal at EuroBasket 2005 with Germany, will be coaching the teams playing these games.
The schedule of these demonstration games, will be as follows:
Tuesday: 10:15am-12:15pm (Boys) and 2:30-4:30pm (Girls)
Wednesday: 10:15am-12:15pm (Mixed youth) and 2:30-4:30pm (Men)
Thursday: 10:15am-12:15 (Mixed youth) and 2:30-4:30 (Women)
Friday: 10:15am-12:15pm (Mixed youth) and 2:30-4:30pm (Weelchair Men)
Several court activities are also planned, featuring among others daily shooting contests.
The FSB, held bi-annually and featuring nearly 600 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, is among the biggest fairs of its kind, creating new business and networking opportunities for company industry professionals.
The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre and its partners invite everyone to join them at the 2013 FSB. The FIBA stand will be located in the Kolnmesse, Hall 11.1, in positions A-041.
