MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2026 marked another major step forward for the global circuit, with a record 25-stop season expanding its international footprint and strengthening connections with fans worldwide.
France (FRA) capped the season by winning the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026, with Laetitia Guapo named MVP. The result gave France their third Women’s Series Final win, following titles in 2019 and 2024.
Digital audience continues to expand year on year
The 2026 digital results continued the strong growth seen across the previous two seasons:
90 million views (up from 48.0 million in 2025 | +88%)
137.8 million impressions (up from 70.0 million in 2025 | +97%)
4.6 million engagements (up from 2.6 million in 2025 | +77%) The figures underline the scale of the competition’s digital growth, with views nearly doubling year-on-year and impressions approaching twice the 2025 total.
They also reflect the increasingly global nature of the circuit, with host cities across multiple regions providing distinctive settings and local audiences before the season culminated in Shanghai.
Shanghai Final’s digital reach
The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026 provided a strong finish to the season, generating 12.82 million views and 14.43 million impressions across FIBA 3x3’s own channels.
That compares with 5.96 million views and 8.8 million impressions for the 2025 Final, representing increases of approximately 115% in views and 64% in impressions.
The Project Redwings Shanghai Final 2026 LOC also reported that 70 Chinese media outlets registered on site, while more than 3,600 visitors registered online and attended across the two competition days.
Beyond FIBA 3x3’s own channels, data sourced by the LOC from third-party partners recorded 4.28 million livestream views and 22.78 million topic views across five major local platforms, including CCTV Sports Online.
The Project Redwings Media Team also activated 15 local creators and influencers, with a combined following of approximately 13.99 million. According to LOC data, their activity generated an estimated 136.6 million impressions.
Shanghai is set to remain home of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final through 2028 in partnership with Project Redwings.
Growing global platform
The growth of the Women’s Series has been accompanied by continued development of its commercial and media ecosystem.
Mitsubishi Electric joined the Women’s Series in 2026 through a four-year agreement, becoming the first Japanese company to participate as a commercial team. The partnership added another dimension to a circuit that features commercial teams alongside National Federation teams.
The 2026 season also continued the Women’s Series’ international media distribution, with live coverage available through FIBA 3x3’s official channels and in China across multiple Shinai Sports platforms, including iQIYI and QiyiguoTV.
"The 2026 season reflects the continued development of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series as a global competition and platform. The record calendar, growing audience and expanding network of teams, players, host cities and partners demonstrate the value the Series can create across the wider 3x3 basketball ecosystem." - Alex Sanchez, FIBA 3x3 Managing Director
