MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Foundation is pleased to launch the 8th edition of the FIBA Photo Contest – capturing the emotions conveyed by basketball.

The 2024 FIBA Photo Contest is now open to submissions until the 21st of December, World Basketball Day.

The theme chosen for this year, “Emotions”, allows all basketball lovers to share the wide range of emotions that the game can ignite in each of us.

From the court to the stands, basketball has the power to stir emotions like no other sport, whether joy, excitement, relief, disappointment, or despair. The FIBA Foundation is looking forward to seeing these feelings translated into powerful imagery.

The FIBA Photo Contest is a unique opportunity for all photographers, professionals, or amateurs to show their talents and love for the game.

The event has grown over the past seven years and has become one of the biggest basketball-related photo contests in the world, with hundreds of participants from all over the globe.

Participants can take part by submitting up to 3 photos that best represent the theme "Emotions".

The top three winners will be awarded valuable photographic equipment, and the opportunity to be the official photographer of the 2025 FIBA Open with free accommodation and travel for the great winner.

The winners will be chosen by a jury composed of professional photographers and basketball personalities.

Once the contest is over, the top 100 photos will be published in the annual FIBA Photo Book.
