MIES (Switzerland) - The next edition of the FIBA NXT Leaders Program, delivered through the FIBA Academy, is now open to applicants who want to access world-class learning opportunities and personal development experiences. The NXT-Leaders Program supports the development of emerging leaders across the global basketball ecosystem, including National Federations, clubs, and leagues. The program is also aimed at helping former players successfully transition into administrative, management, and leadership roles beyond their playing careers.
Designed to cultivate the next generation of basketball leaders, the FIBA NXT Leaders Program strengthens professional leadership capabilities and equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical insights needed to excel across a broad range of sport management disciplines.
Building on the strong foundation of Edition 1, the program will again offer a comprehensive coverage of four core areas, with each further broken down into a range of specialized topics and learning opportunities for participants:
Basketball Development
Marketing and Commercial
Event Hosting and Management
Leadership and Governance
Delivered by a range of experts in a dynamic and accessible format to appeal to a global audience, the FIBA NXT – Leaders Program engages with its participants through a mixture of dedicated online sessions and in-person events. These face-to-face events give all participants the chance to visit sporting, media and marketing organizations as part of the rich content provided in the program. The first edition of the Program, which will conclude shortly in Geneva at FIBA's Headquarters, included visits to the Florida Panthers, Inter Miami FC, Miami Heat and the NBCUniversal Telemundo Global headquarters.
