An official rule change made effective by FIBA's Central Board since October 1, 2022, that allows the use of LED glass flooring at Level 1 competitions have opened doors for the adoption of the innovative flooring globally.
In July 2023, FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup premiered the ASB Glassfloor LumiFlex system in Madrid. The use of the LED glass flooring received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the players and provided a fantastic platform for interactive in-venue fan experience and enhanced sponsorship activations.
The ASB Glassfloor systems have since been used for a variety of high-level competitions, for instance, the Basketball Champions League Final Four 2024 in Belgrade(link), among others.
