BAT 2103/24 (Abu Arisha v/ Association Sportive Lexus Larache) The Israeli Player, Mohamed Abu Arisha, filed a claim against the Moroccan Club, Association Sportive Lexus Larache, for unpaid salaries, bonuses, flight reimbursement, and interest. BAT 2119/24 (Balogun v/ Sandoval, Polideportivo Bembibre) The Nigerian – American Player, Elisabeth Balogun, filed a claim against the Spanish Player, Amparo Villadongas Sandoval, and Spanish Club, Polideportivo Bembibre, for unpaid salaries and loss of salaries. BAT 2114/24 (Anđela Delić v/ Antalya Toroslar Basketbol Spor Kulübü) The Bosnia and Herzegovina Player, Anđela Delić, filed a claim against the Turkish Club, Antalya Toroslar Basketbol Spor Kulübü, for unpaid salaries and late payment penalties. BAT 2115/24 (Washington v/ Al Arabi Sporting Club Kuwait) The American Player, Jylan Rashaad Washington, filed a claim against the Kuwaiti Club, Al Arabi Sporting Club Kuwait, for unpaid salaries, damages and agent fees. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2084/24 (El Mahsini & Baeri v/ Club I.R.T. Tanger) The Moroccan Players, Yassine El Mahsini and Yacine Baeri, filed a claim against the Moroccan Club, Club I.R.T. Tanger, for unpaid salaries and bonuses. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons

BAT 2095/24 (Golden v/ Al Karkh Educational and Sports Club) The American Player, Ashford Tanner Golden, filed a claim against the Iraqi Club, Al Karkh Educational and Sports Club, for unpaid salaries. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2118 (Simonovicova, Dekeirel v Slavia Banska Bystrica) The Slovakian player, Ms. Sabina Simonovicova, and the French FIBA licensed agent, Mr. Sébastien Dekeirel, filed a claim against the Slovakian club Slavia Banska Bystrica for payment of outstanding salaries, agent fees, late payment penalties, compensation for psychological damages and the issuance of a tax certificate. The Claimants submitted that the Respondent wrongfully terminated the Contract due to the Player’s pregnancy. In its Answer, the Respondent argued that it did not terminate the Contract based on the Player’s pregnancy but rather due to her multiple violations of her obligations under the Contract. The claim was partially upheld.

The American agency Pensack Sports filed a claim against the American player, Mr. Noah Vonleh for outstanding agency fees related to contracts signed with the Chinese club, Shanghai Sharks, for the 2021/2022 and 2023/2024 seasons. The Claimant submitted that the Respondent breached the Representation Agreement by failing to pay the agent fees for 2021/2022 and 2023/2024 seasons. The Claimant also argued that, despite assisting in securing both contracts, the Respondent had terminated the agreement before signing the 2023/2024 contract to avoid payment of fees. In his Answer, the Respondent did not deny that the contracts were negotiated but argued that the agency fee for 2021/2022 was already paid via intermediaries in China and that the 2023/2024 fee was not owed as the Representation Agreement had been terminated before the contract was signed. The claim was partially upheld.

The Romanian agent, Mr. Sabin Liviu Gherdan, filed claims against two Romanian players, Mr. Teodora Neagu and Mr. Tunde Kilin, for compensation, interest and costs. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

In case BAT 0668/15, the Italian Club Famila Basket Schio srl SSD filed a claim against the American Player Chinenye Joy Ogwumike for compensation for breach of contract, submitting that the Player did not disclose a pre-existing injury when she signed the Player’s Contract. The Player in turn filed a counter-claim for outstanding salaries, compensation for breach of contract and medical expenses, submitting that she did not have a pre-existing injury and that she was allowed to terminate her Contract after putting the Club on notice, which had undertaken to pay all of the Player’s medical expenses for injuries suffered during the term of her contract.
