The Serbian Agent, Miodrag Raznatovic, filed a claim against the US-American Player, Jerrick Deontre Harding, for compensation and interest. In accordance with Article 16.7 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued a Consent Award.

The Italian Agency, Sigma Srl, filed a claim against the Ukrainian Player, Maksym Shulga, for compensation and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent shall pay compensation to the Claimant for his breach of the exclusivity provision in the Representation Agreement by negotiating and singing a NIL (i.e. name, image and likeness) contract without the Claimant’s involvement. The Respondent did not participate in the proceedings. The claims were fully upheld.

The Serbian Agent, Ivan Zoroski, filed a claim against the American Player, Trenton Jamar Frazier, for unpaid agent fees and interest. The Claimant argued that due to the Respondent’s early termination of the Agreement, the Claimant would be entitled to 10% of the total value of any contract signed by the Respondent during the original term of the Agreement. The Respondent accepted to be liable to pay 10% of the value of any contract signed before 11 February 2023, i.e. the date of effective termination of the Agreement, but argued not to be bound by any payment obligation provided in the Agreement as of 11 February 2023. The claim was partially upheld.

The Romanian Agent, Sergiu Valentin Gherdan, filed a claim against the Turkish Club, Izmit Belediyespor Gençlik Kulübü Derneği, for unpaid agent fees, penalty and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Slovenian Coach, Predrag Milović, filed a claim against the Slovenian Club, Žensko Košarkarsko Društvo Ježica, for unpaid salary and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Greek Agent, Christos Lazarou, filed a claim against the American Player, Jamel Vaughn Morris, for unpaid agency fees and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Turkish Club, Mersin Yenisehir Belediyesi Cukurova Basketbol Kulübü, filed a claim against the Bahamian/Bosnian Herzegovinian Player, Jonquel Jones, for damages, special indemnity and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent terminated the Agreement without just cause alleging that the requirements for the opt-out clause invoked by the Respondent were not met. The Respondent denied a breach of contract arguing that it complied with the requirements of the opt-out clause when terminating the Agreement. The claim was fully dismissed.

The Slovakian Player, Marek Dolezaj, filed a claim against the Greek Club, Iraklis Basketball Club, for unpaid salary and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Trinidadian-American Player, DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell, filed a claim against the Turkish Club, Galatasaray Spor Kulubu Dernegi, for an unpaid receivable, penalty and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Serbian Player, Dorde Dzeletovic, filed a claim against the Lithuanian Club, Vsl SSK (BC Pieno Zvaigzdes), for unpaid salary, adjoining taxes as well as social contributions, damages and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent’s termination of the Contract was unlawful, since the Claimant was entitled to refuse to return to the Respondent due to the Respondent’s shortcomings and failures regarding its obligation to obtain the relevant visa and permits for the Claimant. The Respondent argued that the termination of the Contract was with just cause as the Claimant unexpectedly and without reason left Lithuania missing practices and matches, as well as unreasonably and arbitrarily failed to return. Therefore, the Respondent requested payment of a special indemnity from the Claimant by way of a counterclaim. The claim was partially upheld, the counterclaim was fully rejected.
