BAT 2074/23 (Pick (Pick International) vs. Watson) The Israeli Agent, David Pick (Pick International), filed a claim against the American Player, Maurice Jerome Watson Jr., for unpaid agent fees, reimbursement of flight tickets and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2073/23 (Nouhi vs. Association Sportive de Sale Basketball) The Belgian-Moroccan Player, Ayoub Nouhi, filed a claim against the Moroccan Club, Association Sportive de Sale Basketball, for unpaid salaries and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2396/25 (Anzulovic vs. Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation “Basketball Club ‘Samara’”) The Croatian Player, Drazen Anzulovic, filed a claim against the Russian Club, Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation “Basketball Club ‘Samara’”, for unpaid salary, compensation and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent failed to pay the amounts owed under the termination agreement and therefore, the Respondent would have to pay the full amount of the salaries provided under the employment agreement, less amounts already received. Claimant submitted that his claim is in EUR and that he would not accept payment in RUB. The Respondent argued that the only sum due to the Claimant is the outstanding balance under the termination agreement. Further, due to the limitations of the payment system any payment to the Claimant can only be made in RUB to a Russian bank account. The claim was fully dismissed.

BAT 2110/24 (Petrovikj vs. KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom AD Skopje) The North Macedonian Coach, Aleksandar Petrovikj, filed a claim against the North Macedonian Club, KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom AD Skopje, for unpaid salary, bonus and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2109/24 (Riley vs. Rogaska Basketball Club (Košarkarski klub Rogaška)) The American Player, Cody Riley, filed a claim against the Slovenian Club, Rogaska Basketball Club (Košarkarski klub Rogaška), for unpaid salary, compensation for unjust enrichment and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2108/24 (Kumović vs. Kosarkaski klub “Vojvodina”) The Serbian Player, Ranko Kumović, filed a claim against the Serbian Club, Kosarkaski klub “Vojvodina”, for unpaid salary, issuance of tax certificates and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

BAT 2090/24 (Palacios, U1st Sports Basket Espana vs. Guaros de Lara B.B.C) The Colombian Player, Juan Diego Tello Palacios, and the Spanish Agency, U1st Sports Basket Espana, filed claims against the Venezuelan Club, Guaros de Lara B.B.C, for unpaid salary, bonus, unpaid agency fees and interest. The Player argued that the Respondent is obliged to pay the claimed salary instalments and bonus regardless of whether the employment contract concluded with the Respondent was actually based on fraudulent practices of its former management, as this would not affect the Respondent’s debts towards the Player. The Respondent in particular raised the defence of lis pendens arguing that the Player’s claims had already been submitted to another tribunal. The claims were fully upheld.

BAT 2107/24 (Bill A. Duffy International Inc., Heidegger vs. Merkezefendi Belediyesi Genclik ve Spor Kulubu Dernegi) The American Agency, Bill A. Duffy International Inc., and the American Player, Max Heidegger, filed claims against the Turkish Club, Merkezefendi Belediyesi Genclik ve Spor Kulubu Dernegi, for unpaid agency fees, bonus and interest.
