    Fiji

    Kids in Fiji bounce the ball and pass to one another as part of a 6-week program called “Hoops for Health” which teaches them basketball skills and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

    Papua New Guinea

    Youth from all over Papua New Guinea regardless of age or social divisions, come together to take part in “Twilight Basketball” which uses the 3x3 code of basketball to engage idle youth in a positive way, discouraging crime and promoting peaceful and inclusive societies.

    Kiribati

    “Hoops for Health” is active in the small island nation of Kiribati to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all. The program targets school in Tarawa as well as those most at-risk of acquiring non-communicable diseases such as middle-aged men and women in the communities.

    Vanuatu

    Kids stop at the metaphorical “red light” as a coach yells out the name of a common unhealthy snack in Vanuatu, only to start dribbling again when they hear the coach say “fruit!”. All part of Vanuatu’s “Hoops for Health” program using basketball to promote healthy lives and well-being.
