The new Funding Project, "Alley-Oop" was launched in 2024.
An overall allocation of € 1.0 million for a period of four years is a targeted investment for small and medium-sized National Federations with aspirations to grow and develop their sporting, technical, and administrative capacities and increase participation in their countries.
The eligible federations for the Special Project "Alley-Oop" funding are those currently ranked by FIBA in Categories B, C, and D.
The 10 selected federations will qualify for a project grant of 25.000 EUR per year.
Furthermore, specific criteria linked to the federation's strategic plan, active participation in FIBA programs and projects, or hosting FIBA Europe Tournaments or Activities have been set to become eligible for this grant.
The Board of FIBA Europe, through its Management Committee, will evaluate the National Federations' applications based on those criteria.
