To support the continued development of Masters basketball worldwide, FIBA collaborates with National Federations to build and strengthen Masters programs at the national level, sharing guidance and best practices.

FIBA Masters Open 2027
In October 2026, FIBA announced Munich, Germany, as the host of the FIBA Masters Open 2027. Following the successful inaugural edition in Greece earlier that year, the event will continue to bring together the global Masters basketball community and promote lifelong participation in basketball, while expanding to include a wheelchair basketball competition.
