MEET THE FIBA CENTRAL BOARD
As the highest executive authority within FIBA, the Central Board has the responsibility of overseeing basketball worldwide. The Central Board also appoints the Secretary General, Executive Committee and permanent FIBA Commissions that are responsible for examining and providing guidance on specific aspects of our sport.

The term of office is four years, starting after the conclusion of each Congress that elects its members. The Central Board is accountable to the Congress and convenes two regular meetings each year during the electoral Congress and one meeting in all other calendar years. If necessary, the President and Secretary General have the authority to call extraordinary meetings.
