Thanks to numerous partnerships, FIBA Media ensures that international basketball has a constant and high-level exposure worldwide.

    EVENT ORGANISATION

FIBA Media is responsible for the production and delivery at all FIBA national team competitions, including the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup and the Continental Championships.

In an ever-changing media and broadcast landscape, FIBA aims for the highest standards by adopting the latest in broadcast and multimedia technology and working with the world’s best service providers.

    FIBA BROADCAST ACADEMY

The FIBA Broadcast Academy is an online educational tool that has been developed by FIBA in order to guide and educate the users in the best practice production of a basketball game, whether you are a Director, or have any other role in the production team, a Live Graphics Operator or a Broadcast Operations Venue Manager.

This tool was developed in relation to the new FIBA calendar back in 2017 when more and more games needed to be produced around the world. Basketball is a truly global game and, as with any global sport, the styles and ways of broadcasting the games vary significantly.

The FIBA Live Coverage Academy is the destination for basketball Directors to visit and understand the basic fundamental principles and skills required for the optimum coverage of the sport of basketball. The site content has been developed through the analysis of the production of basketball games throughout the world and the input of basketball directors who have been responsible for the FIBA World and Continental Championships, the Olympic Games, as well as NBA and Euroleague basketball games.

The FIBA Live Graphics Academy is the destination for basketball Graphics Operators and Directors. It summarizes how to best present data around a live game to enhance the live coverage.

The FIBA On-Site Operations Academy is the destination for all Broadcast Operations Venue Managers to understand the skills required for working at a FIBA basketball game or tournament. It includes on-site basketball broadcast operations best practices in order to enhance the game broadcast delivery and provide a consistent servicing to Rights-Holders.

FIBA's aim is to enhance and expand the overall quality of basketball production globally.
