    FIBA Marketing, established in 2016 between FIBA and Infront/Wanda Group, works closely with FIBA’s Global Partners and numerous other stakeholders. It continues to be instrumental in further developing the FIBA brand and helping to promote and grow the game of basketball globally.

    Its activities are multi-layered and include partnership acquisition, brand management, account management, marketing, event activations, legal and finance services, as well as ticketing, travel program, hospitality, the use of market data and analytics, plus evaluations and feedback studies.

    FIBA Marketing is pivotal to thrive in the evolving world of sports, working closely with its Global Partners and Suppliers to further grow the sport of basketball

    GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

    FIBA's global partnership program offers an excellent opportunity for brands to associate themselves with international basketball and reach a truly global audience. 

    We take great pride in our Global Partner family and continuously strive to welcome new brands that share our values and passion for the sport. If you join FIBA, you join a family of brands that work hand in hand to grow the audience.

    Our global partner program establishes long-term partnerships with FIBA's partners, granting them exclusive global market rights across all FIBA competitions based on their product category. Tailored packages to be in line with the global partner's vision and goals are at the forefront of each partnership.

    We pride ourselves on having a strong lineup of partners that helps us to elevate basketball. An excellent example of such a partnership is the company Google, which in 2022 became FIBA's first-ever Global Partner for Women's Basketball and the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.

    BRAND MANAGEMENT

    FIBA Marketing manages its brand management program centrally, which encompasses both the corporate identity of FIBA and all FIBA Events worldwide, organized by continent, as well as event marketing and promotion.

    In collaboration with professional creative agencies, FIBA Marketing develops and implements each identity portfolio through event branding concepts and venue dressing solutions. 

    The primary goal is to foster consistency and ensure a unified language and tone across continents and championships, while still preserving the unique characteristics of each host and event. 

    A centrally driven Intellectual Property Program for FIBA and its events handles trademark and design registration, which includes logos, word marks, taglines, mascots, and other visual elements. 

    LICENSING PROGRAM

    Our licensing program aims to develop official products for each of the main FIBA competitions. The primary goal is to raise awareness of the events and promote them by offering fans the chance to purchase exclusive event souvenirs that bear the official marks.

    FIBA manages these rights through both local and global licensing agreements.

    The program involves selling official licenses and distributing all licensed products through different retail channels. It also includes developing and implementing the retail program and maintaining relationships with key retailers.

    HOSPITALITY AND TRAVEL PROGRAMS

    FIBA's hospitality and travel program offers bespoke experiences for its Partners, key guests, and other key stakeholders attending its events. It encompasses premium travel arrangements, exclusive accommodation, premium event access, unique hospitality events, and exceptional customer service, enhancing the overall event experience and fostering strong relationships.

    MARKET DATA AND ANALYTICS

    At the core of its FIBA's commercial program are market data and comprehensive analytics. With dedicated resources, FIBA Marketing ensures first-class partnership value collection and deep information about the global basketball audience.

    In addition, data collection provides FIBA with further insight into its audience and allows target messaging by our Global Partners.
