ORGANIZATION
    Indonesia Office

The FIBA Indonesia Office, inaugurated in September 2024 by President Joko Widodo in Jakarta, aims to promote and accelerate basketball development in the country. Its focus is on grassroots initiatives, facilitating educational and training programs, and engaging with the community.

Its objectives include building a healthy basketball ecosystem by empowering the National Federation of Indonesia (PERBASI) to lead and grow the sport. Additionally, it seeks to increase participation by developing a coherent national plan for recruiting, retaining, and developing players, coaches, and officials to their full potential.

Another key goal is to promote women’s basketball by enhancing visibility and interest at all levels for coaches, officials, and players. Finally, the Indonesia office aims to drive social impact by implementing basketball projects that serve as tools for social development and capacity building in targeted communities across Indonesia.
