FIBA has a zero-tolerance of harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind. Everyone has the right to participate in basketball activities that are in an environment that is both safe and enjoyable.
Our Safeguarding Policy highlights our commitment to making sure that anyone participating in basketball at any level of our sport is provided with a safe space that is free from any form of harm or abuse.
The Safeguarding policy provides details on how to enhance the protection of vulnerable individuals within a basketball setting.
The FIBA Safeguarding Council acts as an advisory body on matters related to safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable groups of basketball participants. It provides advice on helping to ensure a safe environment for all FIBA stakeholders.
