The American Player, Sheldon Mac, and the American Agency, SLASH International Inc., filed claims against the Uruguayan Club, Club Atletico Aguada, for unpaid salary, unpaid agency fee and interest. The First Claimant argued that he is entitled to a full and guaranteed salary as the purported settlement agreement is only to be presumed as a receipt of the first two payments made and not as a termination of the contract. The Second Claimant argued that the agency fees was guaranteed and that the remaining amount after deducting the payment already made, remained unpaid. The Respondent argued that the settlement agreement documented the termination of the Player’s employment, and released the Respondent from any further payment obligations. The claims were partially upheld.

The American Coach, John Casey Owens, filed a claim against the Kuwaiti Club, Kazma Sports Club, for unpaid salary, reimbursement for traveling expenses and interest. The Claimant argued that he is entitled to the entire salary under the contract as the early termination of it by the Respondent was without just cause. In response, the Respondent objected to BAT having jurisdiction and argued that the Claimant breached his contractual obligation by not reporting to work for more than seven consecutive days which justified the termination of the contract. The claim was partially upheld.

The Serbian Player, Marko Jeremic, filed a claim against the Montenegrin Club, BC Mornar Bar, for unpaid salary instalments and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Ukrainian Coach, Valerii Plekhanov, filed a claim against the Ukrainian Club, Basketball Club Budivelnyk LLC, for unpaid salary, compensation and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The American Agent, Daniel Curtin, and the Turkish Agent, Hüseyin Ulas Sag, filed claims against the Turkish Club Gaziantep Basketball vs Spor A.S., for unpaid Agent fees and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Italian Agent, Marco Valenza, filed a claim against the American Player, Matt Mobley, for unpaid agent fee and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Italian Club, Pallacanestro Cantù s.p.a. s.s.d., filed a claim against the Italian Club, Fortitudo Pallacanestro Bologna 103 s.s.d. a r.l., for compensation and interest. The Claimant argued that it is entitled to compensation as, according to the agreement between the parties, a player developed by the Claimant for the Respondent had been transferred to another Club competing in the EuroLeague. In response, the Respondent argued that the contractual condition had not been fulfilled as the Respondent’s contract with the player was terminated due to relegation. The claim was dismissed.

The Cypriot Agency, I.N.T.L Network Sports Ltd, filed a claim against the Turkish Club, Galatasaray Spor Kulübü Derneği, for unpaid agency fees and interest. It remained undisputed between the Parties that the Respondent is contractually obligated to pay the agency fee. However, the Respondent argued that it has failed to fulfil its payment obligation due to the economic crisis in Turkey and the Turkish Lira depreciating significantly against the Euro, which must be considered a force majeure. The claim was fully upheld.

The Ukrainian Player, Olesia Malashenko, and the Romanian Agency, Gherdan & Associates s.r.l, filed claims against the Israelian Club, San Sport (Elitzur Ramla), for unpaid salaries, travel expenses, unpaid agency fees, issuance of a tax certificate and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Italian Agent, Mario Scotti, filed a claim against the Romanian Club, Clubul Sportiv Minicipal Focsani 2007, for unpaid agent fee, late penalty fee and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.
