The Serbian Coach, Željko Lukajić, filed a claim against the Serbian Club, Košarkaški Klub Spartak Subotica for unpaid outstanding bonuses, outstanding salaries and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The American Coach, James Andrisevic, filed a claim against the Japanese Club, Ibaraki Robots, for compensation and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent unilaterally removed him from his position as head coach, amounting to a constructive dismissal and termination of the contract without just cause. The Respondent argued that the Claimant was not hired as head coach which allowed the Respondent to assign him as a youth team coach or an assistant coach. The claim was partially upheld.

The Serbian Agent, Ivan Asanin, filed a claim against the Cypriot Club, Apollon Limassol Basketball Club, for unpaid agent fees and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The Dominican Player Ángel Luis Delgado Astacio, the Turkish Agency YF Spor Danismanlik ve Tic. A.S, and the Spanish Agency U1st Sports Basket Espana, S.L filed claims against the Turkish Team Karsiyaka Spor Kulübü Dernegi, for unpaid salaries, unpaid bonus, unpaid agency fees and interest. The Claimants argued that the Respondent failed to pay two salary instalments as well as a bonus for reaching the BSL playoff final and failed to pay the agency fees for the signings of the players Ángel Delgado and Jaylon Brown, who is also represented by the Claimants. The Respondent did not participate in the proceedings. The claim was partially upheld.

The Tunisian Player, Wasef Methani, filed a claim against the Tunisian Club, Etoile Sportive du Sahel, for unpaid outstanding balances and interest. In accordance with Article 16.2 of the BAT Rules, the Arbitrator issued an award without reasons.

The American Player, Ian Hummer, and the American Agency, Entersport, LLC., filed claims against the Greek Club, ΑΕΚ NEA KAE 2014, for unpaid salary, late payment penalty, unpaid agency fees and interest. The Claimants rely on the Settlement Agreement which provides for the payments requested by the Claimants. The Respondent did not participate in the proceedings. The claims were partially upheld.

The American- Panamanian Player, Akil Mitchell, and the American Agent, Daryl T. Graham, filed claims against the Greek Club, AEK B.C., for unpaid salaries, bonus, unpaid agent fee and interest. The Claimants argued that they have fully complied with their obligations under the contract and, therefore, the Respondent is required to make the payments provided under the contract. The Respondent argued that it is not required to make the requested payments, inter alia, arguing that the contractual term had already terminated and the Player already played for a new club when the alleged two remaining salary instalments fell due. The claims were partially upheld.

The American Agency, Wasserman Media Group, LLC, filed a claim against the American Player, Augustine Rubit, for unpaid agency fees and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent owed the unpaid agency fee since the representation agreement was terminated prematurely and without just cause. The Respondent denied BAT’s jurisdiction and argued to have lawfully terminated the representation agreement because of the Claimant’s material breach thereof, consequently not being obliged to pay the agency fee requested by the Claimant. The claim was partially upheld.

The American Macedonian Player, DeWanna Bonner, filed a claim against the Turkish Club, Mersin Yenişehir Belediyesi Çukurova Basketbol Kulübü, for unpaid salary, unpaid bonus and interest. The Claimant argued that she is entitled to the full salary and bonus, because the Player Contract is fully guaranteed against injury and the Player suffered the injury during an activity for the Respondent. The Respondent argued that the Claimant left the Respondent without justification when by going to the US seeking additional medical advice and undergoing surgery. Consequently, the Respondent filed a counterclaim for penalty due to the Claimant’s alleged violation of the Player Contract. The claim was fully upheld, the counterclaim was dismissed.

The Israeli Team, BC Hapoel Holon, filed a claim against the American Player, Chris Johnson, for compensation, non-pecuniary damages and interest. The Claimant argued that the Respondent had breached the contract signed as the buy-out fee was not paid, furthermore the Respondent had to compensate the Claimant for non-pecuniary damages due to emotional distress and loss of reputation. The Respondent argued that he had no obligation to pay the buy-out fee as the contract was terminated by mutual agreement. The claim was partially upheld.
